MEET THE RIDER
This custom longboard was shaped for Charlie 70 y.o, a legend from Amami,
designed with the intention of supporting his surfing for the years ahead.
The request was simple: a board that feels natural and easy to ride.
At T-REEF, “easy to ride” doesn’t mean basic.
It means a board that allows you to move smoothly and effortlessly across the wave.

THE DESIGN STORY
Volume for Stability and Ease
The foundation of this board starts with volume.
By giving it generous length, width, and thickness,
we increased buoyancy to enhance paddling ease and overall stability.
The goal is a board that lets you catch waves without effort and move into your ride smoothly.
Rounded Bottom for Smooth Flow
The bottom features a rounded contour.
This allows water to flow without interruption,
creating a smooth, natural acceleration and glide.
The deck follows the same philosophy with a rounded wet deck,
resulting in a soft and balanced overall feel.
Continuous Rail Line from Nose to Tail
The rails are slightly downturned even rails.
They connect seamlessly from nose to tail,
forming one continuous, uninterrupted line.
The foil remains classic, flowing naturally through to the tail,
ensuring consistency and comfort in every position on the board.
Versatility Through Fin Setup
The board is set up with a single fin box.
This allows for flexibility: different fin shapes can be tested depending on conditions or preference.
It’s a simple setup that opens up a wide range of riding experiences.
Rounded Outline for a Softer Feel
The nose features a rounded nose with a rounded bottom,
providing smooth entry and a forgiving feel.
The tail is a rounded pin with a no-edge finish,
allowing water to release softly while maintaining control and flow.
